Consolidated Credit Counseling Services' mission is to assist families throughout the United States in ending financial crisis, and solving money management problems through education and professional counseling. Consolidated is a nationally recognized, federally approved, non-profit, tax exempt organization. The firm was established in 1993, when consumer debt was on the fast track and financially derailing thousands of Americans. The organization is funded primarily through voluntary contributions from participating creditors. Their programs are designed to save our clients money and liquidate debts at an excellent rate. The company adheres to a core mission of finding new and creative methods to educate consumers, and thereby achieve their business objective and elevate their public visibility and profile. CCCS specifically sought to launch interactive credit course modules-not for in-house training, but for the general public to use via Web and CD-Rom delivery. The program needed to be highly interactive, simple to navigate, and designed to convey complex information in an engaging and easily understandable format. The program also needed to advance the CCCS mission of promoting responsible consumer credit habits and enhance the organization's brand and visibility (the primary engines behind the organization's growth).

The Solution:
Consolidated Credit Counseling Services selected Intelladon Corporation, the national, award-winning producer of interactive and user-friendly course authoring tools to bring its consumer credit e-learning program to life. CCCS used Intelladon's Advanced Learning Platform (Brandon Hall e-Learning Shootout Winner) to convert text-heavy consumer credit advice into a lively and interactive course series for consumers. The course series explains the role of consumers' credit scores-and why the scores can allow individuals to be approved or rejected for credit within a matter of seconds (and how the scores directly determines the rates consumers receive). The interactive online training course (which may be accessed via www.debtfree.org) empowers consumers to become masters of their credit score. After completing this online series, users understand what factors make-up their score, how to interpret what their score means, and ways to improve their score. Intelladon took existing text considered to be mundane and complex by CCCS, and redeveloped the information into storyboards with accompanying tests, Q&A segments, drop-boxes, animation and audio tracks.
