Tampa Bay Business Journal: Intelladon Adapts Technology, Sprints Ahead

August 24, 2011

Individualized Mobile Apps Become Training On-the-Go

From the last days of the dot-com era through the economic turndown, Intelladon has prospered because it anticipated the technology needs of clients.

In 2005, CEO Marc Blumenthal shifted from a product development company to a learning solutions integration company. As such, the company provides online software platforms combined with services to help clients train and develop talent —whether for employees, partners or customers. Customers responded to the new directions and Intelladon has had some of its best years during the economic downturn within an incredibly competitive industry.

As more people use iPhones, Androids and other mobile devices, Intelladon has in the last two years developed training programs available via mobile web. In addition to the research and educational efforts of its technical team, the firm brought on people who could build mobile applications.

For its client Hollister Wound Care, Intelladon developed the mobile application ConnectEd, which provides bedside would care education to health care providers. For ShowTenders, a Tampa beverage consulting company that trains corporate bartender training teams, Intelladon implemented “Cocktail College,” which offers high-definition video training.

Expanding on the concept of training-on-the-go, Intelladon began selling the Mobile Enterprise Knowledge Platform, or mEKP, a training system based on USB thumb drives.
