Marc Blumenthal
CEO
Marc Blumenthal joined Intelladon in 2003 as its Chief Executive Officer and a part owner. He is responsible for formulating the company's strategic direction. His vision is to help companies train, develop and manage their employees, customers and channel partners in the areas of talent and performance management.
In 2004, Blumenthal acquired a majority interest Intelladon. He has expanded its offerings from a single software application that clients used to build customized e-learning content to a broad range of e-learning products and services through partnerships with several leading software vendors.
Throughout his career, Blumenthal has embraced entrepreneurship. As a college student, he worked at IBM during the first years of the IBM PC where he was responsible for selling and implementing PC solutions to major business accounts in west central Florida. While working with his clients, Blumenthal recognized that they needed more than PCs; they also needed systems integration expertise to network them and software to solve business problems and improve their productivity.
That was when Blumenthal founded Progressive Business Solutions in 1985. During the next 15 years, the company grew to be one of the largest and most respected systems integrators in the Southeast. It was recognized as one of the top 10 Microsoft Dynamics partners in the world. In 2000, Blumenthal sold the company to ePartners, a national company that was consolidating the industry.
When he joined Intelladon, Blumenthal wanted to apply the same principles that made Progressive a highly successful integrator to Intelladon: his goal was to make it easier for customers in the learning and performance space to get best-in-class solutions.
Blumenthal is passionate about the community in which he lives. He serves as an informal advisor to many technology company entrepreneurs and is on the board of Doctors Administrative Solutions, an electronic health records (EHR) solutions integrator. He is an angel investor for several national businesses that got their start in Tampa, including Tribridge, an IT services and business consultancy, and Ideal Image, a laser hair removal services company. In 2010, TriBridge was named Worldwide Microsoft Dynamics Partner of the Year.
In addition to those roles, Blumenthal has served for many years on the board of Metropolitan Ministries, a local charitable organization that serves the poor, hungry and homeless in the Tampa Bay area. He is also active in the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, a non-profit membership association committed to connecting and growing the technology community in Tampa Bay.
Blumenthal has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida.
